Offering monthly interactive and intimate cooking lessons, full participation provides new skills and hands on learning with Chef Cam.  Only 8 seats available per class so book early.

Full payment is required to book your spot, classes are non-refundable. 
With more than 72 hour notice you can transfer to another months class.

Learn to Cook: Thai Cuisine

​Details:  Bring the flavour of Thailand to your home.  This lesson we will make rice paper rolls with peanut sauce, and one of the most popular dishes Pad Thai.  Both can be made with shrimp, chicken or vegetarian

Learn to Cook: Brunch

​Details:  With Easter, Mothers Day and Fathers day up coming it’s a great time to learn how to make some key brunch items.  Eggs Benedict with the perfect poached egg and hollandaise sauce, as well as a classic French omelette with a variety of fillings. Then enjoy the items you’ve made.

Cooking Classes

Looking for a fun activity with friends, family, or staff?

Book a private cooking lesson with our Red-Seal Chef at Cultivate Café for up to 8 participants.

Gain some new skills with hands on learning, have fun, then sit and enjoy the meal you just made.

 

Classes start at $500.00 plus a per person price depending on your selected class.

 

Class:  Knife Skills

The knife is one of the most used tools in the kitchen and knowing how to use it can make all the difference.  In this hands-on lesson you will learn which knife to use when, the difference between slicing, dicing, mincing, chopping, when to use each and the tricks of the trade to make your experience easier and more enjoyable.  We will make a salsa, slaw and enjoy these items on a taco.

Class:  Brunch

Who doesn’t love a great brunch?  Learn some of the key brunch items:  Eggs Benedict with the perfect poached egg and Hollandaise sauce, a classic French omelette with a variety of fillings and French Toast with warm apple cinnamon compote.

Class:  Flavours of India

Making:  Bring the flavour of India to your home.  This lesson we will make veggie pakoras and the classic butter chicken.

Price $30.00 + GST / person

Class:  Flavours of Thailand

This lesson we will make rice paper rolls with peanut sauce, and one of Thailand’s most popular dishes Pad Thai.  Both can be made with shrimp, chicken or vegetarian. *Peanuts are used in this dish.

 Class:  Seafood

Our seafood class focuses on learning basics of cooking seafood, filleting, and cooking salmon, prawns and mussels finishing with a seafood pasta to enjoy.  

Price $50.00 + GST /person

Class:  Prime Rib Dinner

Learn to make a prime rib dinner, including potato pave, roasted seasonal vegetables, and thyme jus, flavouring items with tea from Marais Tea Company.

Price $50.00 + GST / person

 

Details: 

  • Maximum 8 people, cooking will be done in pairs.

  • Classes start at $500.00 plus the listed per person price depending on your selected class.

  • Classes must be pre-booked, a minimum of 2 week in advance and are available Tuesday through Friday only, based on availability.

  • Classes (including enjoying your meal) are from 6:00pm-8:30pm.

  • If anyone in your group has dietary restrictions, please let us know to confirm we can accommodate them.  Unknown dietary restrictions can not be accommodated.

  • Full payment is required to book.

  • Classes are non-refundable, they can be rescheduled with a minimum of 3 days notice, re-booking based on availability.
